Big Buck Raids Farmer's Garden

In the southwest Colorado Valley, South of Bayfield and East of Ignacio, a Big Buck in the velvet came to visit our neighbors garden this Saturday afternoon, September 16, 2006.

Look close at the photo on the left and you can see the Big Buck's head and antlers peeking over the edge of the back patio. Our Neighbor also caught a shot of that same Big Buck leaving the scene of the crime (on the right).

According to Ann, "The reason we know the buck was there was because we saw him walk right thru the front yard, (the only way to get in) but he was after the apples... After the picture, he walked thru the raised tomato beds and made a flying leap just like Rudolf and jumped over the HIGH gates to the south."
