Dean Sabin C. Perceful, A.B., A.M., -- Dean of the Faculty and Professor of Social Science.  Northwestern took pride in her Social Science Department headed by Professor Perceful who had been in this position as Dean since 1915.  Northwestern was the only Teachers College in the State which offered a degree in Social Science.  Mr. Perceful held his A.B. from Baylor University and his A.M. from Brown.  His capacity for thoroughness had made the department one of the strongest in the College and likewise one of the most popular.  Mr. Perceful conducted all of the courses in Economics in addition to constituting judge and jury as to whether “you do or you don’t.”
