Manual Arts
Department…
The
workshops of the Manual Arts Department occupied the entire basement of the Administration Building. Thoroughly equipt
with all modern devices for work in wood and metal, it was a delight to work in
the shop. Courses in furniture, cabinet making, upholstery, carpentry, farm
machinery, forging, and numerous courses in mechanical drawing made this
department one of unlimited interest for those with inclination to the Manual
Arts. A special certificate was offered
to those wishing to teach Manual Training.
