Since the days when we were verdant "B's" this class has been
a quiet but potent factor in Northwestern. We are not given to boasting
for we know that self praise is half scandal. However, we have lost much
of our verdancy and in this year in Northwestern, we have shown the other
people that we are able to do something.
In the class room we have kept side by side with the upper classmen;
in athletics, we have held our own against many odds. Floyd Porter and
Carl Smithson were a vital part of the football team and also played on
the "Home Ranger Team" during the basketball season. The track
team will be led by our Frank Bruner, Eulys Smith and Carl Smithson, who
have made enviable records in that line.
Our social functions have been few but exceedingly pleasant. The girls
of the class are the best entertainers in school so that invitations to
our "open dates" are always accepted.
There is a jolly set of folks,
I've lately come across,
They'll stand for almost anything,
Without much time or loss.
All day long they work and play
Without a fear or frown,
O yes we are the brightest,
There is in all the town.
